To Bless The Path Before You

The path is laid out before you.
Your life is calling. 

The way you have traveled to get here
has been filled with equal parts light and shadow.
Miles you danced and sang, clanging the bell of joy.
Miles you have stumbled across or crawled.
You have met loss.
You have met kindness.
And many times your heart has had to choose the way forward.
Would she be a flower held tight in the bud, 
or petals unfurled?

Today, may your heart remember 
what she has drummed for all your life.
A beat for adventure, 
another for courage, a steady drone 
for friendship, for family, for sisterhood,
sisterhood and peace,
for sisterhood and peace and love.

On this day, may you turn your face to the sun
and know you are part of this light, forever.
